Res Publican Law Society (RPLS) is a vision which appeared in a remote Bihar village during the dissemination of research finding in a workshop on “Study of Impact of Globalization on Marginalized Women and her Infant”. Gradually the vision crystallized and it acquired the shape of the present Society and it undertook the onerous task of working towards the attainment of social and economic justice. The Society was launched on January 26, 2004 at New Delhi by one of its Chief Patron Hon'ble Mr. Justice D.P. Wadhwa the then Chairman of TDSAT and former Judge, Supreme Court of India in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Brijesh Kumar Judge, Supreme Court of India and Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.B. Shah, the then President NCDRC and former Judge, Supreme Court of India. RPLS got itself formally registered on March 4, 2005. Besides holding Seminars, organizing Symposiums and conducting Workshops, the Society is instrumental in promoting literacy for poor children. Other activities of the Society includes “Study on Nutritional levels of Mother and her Child”, helping Senior Citizens and Widows in getting governmental pensions. Legal Awareness Camps are regularly held at the level of villages in and around Delhi and city slums to actualize the concept of 'Justice at door step'.
